Whew! Another day, another branding project. I’m so excited to show you the Go-GetHer branding! This is the fabulous brain child of Christina Spann Whitehurst. She has this amazing idea for a new blog. It’s all about empowering women to reach their goals by example. I can’t wait for the blog to be live and running! It’s going to be so amazing and inspirational. Until then, sign up for her mailing list at go-gether.com.
For the Go-GetHer branding, we wanted a clean and fun look. It needed to vibrant and full of energy since this brand has a risk-taker personality. My favorite part of the logo is the super hero cape! You know I love super heroes! It has just enough whimsy while still being professional. Christina was drawn towards a teal and red color combo and her instincts are right on the money! Those colors meld together perfectly like peanut butter and jelly. Hmm, peanut butter and jelly… Great, now I’m hungry. While I make a sandwich, you check out the Go-GetHer branding and let me know what you think.
I’ve been hard at work over the past 2 months creating something pretty damn special. Today I’m launching a new site called How to brand yourself for creatives and bloggers. It’s been a life-long dream of mine to create a community of creatives and entrepreneurs who love the hell out of what they do for a living. This is my first step towards that goal. Proper branding and marketing is crucial to success, so I created a resource that helps people rock out their blogs and marketing materials with style and panache.
Head over if you wanna:
- Learn the basic elements of branding
- Learn how to find your brand personality
- Get a few actionable steps you can take, RIGHT NOW to up-level your marketing
If that sounds like something you are into, go there now. Check it out and let me know what you think. Additionally, I’ll be updating this blog with features geared toward your specific brand personalities. Plus, I’m creating a workbook and live events that will go deeper, and allow you to take your passion projects and turn them into full-fledged businesses. It’s awesome when work feels like play. Let’s make our dreams come true.
Karin Navas is a dear friend of mine, who gave me the honor of designing her wedding invitations. I also designed some awesome photo lamps, that I have yet to snap a picture of.
(I know, what slacker I am!)
The main event!
Karin has a big heart and an even bigger personality, so working with her was a blast. Her wedding theme was feathers and fuchsia and everything was very modern with a touch of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Her wedding was so unique that it was featured on TLC’s 4 Weddings.
I do believe that Karin and Nelson were robbed when they did not win the competition. Their wedding was pure glamour and one of the most fun events I’ve ever been to. For the wedding invitations, I wanted the same lush Breakfast at Tiffany’s feeling, so I went with swirly pendant look. Her signature color of fuchsia paired black and white, gave it the modern feel that she wanted. I’m so happy with how they turned out and grateful to be part of her special day!
