Go-GetHer Branding

Go-GetHer Branding | www.trinidadpena.com

Whew! Another day, another branding project. I’m so excited to show you the Go-GetHer branding! This is the fabulous brain child of Christina Spann Whitehurst. She has this amazing idea for a new blog. It’s all about empowering women to reach their goals by example. I can’t wait for the blog to be live and running! It’s going to be so amazing and inspirational. Until then, sign up for her mailing list at go-gether.com.

For the Go-GetHer branding, we wanted a  clean and fun look. It needed to vibrant and full of energy since this brand has a risk-taker personality. My favorite part of the logo is the super hero cape! You know I love super heroes! It has just enough whimsy while still being professional. Christina was drawn towards a teal and red color combo and her instincts are right on the money! Those colors meld together perfectly like peanut butter and jelly. Hmm, peanut butter and jelly… Great, now I’m hungry. While I make a sandwich, you check out the Go-GetHer branding and let me know what you think.

Remember when I told you PhotoShop Elements was going take your blog or website to the next level? Well, hold on to your boot straps cuz here’s step one in leveling up: Collages (I really need to get boots with straps if I’m going to continue using that phrase).

I’m going to show you  how to make a PhotoShop collage like the one above. It’s insanely easy to do AND you can make the shapes the images are in anything you want. Once you get this technique down, have fun experimenting with all the different shapes and combinations. It’s a party, minus the vodka. Let’s face it, the vodka gives you a wicked hang over.

Oh, don’t forget to add the “Pin It” button to your images, since they are about get injected with a shot of awesome.

Font/Color Combo – Whimsy

Font/Color Combo - Whimsy | www.trinidadpena.com

A party without cake is just a meeting – Tweet It out, Yo!

Here’s a font/color combo that is friendly, approachable and modern. It’s perfect for a BFF brand personality. It reminds me of  getting an ice cream cone on a hot summer’s day, after hitting pay dirt at a Kate Spade sample sale. Translation: My perfect day.

It’s all in the details

This color palette keeps it real! Real Simple. It is mostly neutral except for that rose color (#ad4866). It being so light and bright is what adds to the clean, high-end look. No competition here, that rose color is the star of the show.

The fonts are ITC American Typewriter and Avant Garde. American Typewriter is a bit old-school and it’s a serif font (What’s a serif font?). It’s where we get that friendly and approachable vibe. Your grandma would like this font. Unless your grandma isn’t friendly… If that’s the case, well–this is awkward. Let’s pretend it didn’t happen and keep on going. Avant Garde is a modern san-serif font. It ups the real estate value of everything around it. Yup, that font is money.

If your brand is friendly, a little whimsical and has premium pricing. This might be just the thing. A jewelry designer or lifestyle blogger could really rock out this font/color combo.
